Every wedding season, I think about this. I watch people spend months getting ready for that one photograph.
Not every captured pic makes the cut.
There is always The One.
The one you upload. The one you frame. The one that becomes your phone wallpaper. The one you stumble upon years later and immediately think: Look at us…❤️
The lehenga goes out of fashion.
The sherwani goes into the cupboard.
The jewellery goes to the locker.
And the trends… everyone forgets 😄
But that one pic?
That one stays. Forever.
Because when you look at it years later, you don't really see the clothes.
You see the two of you. Looking at each other. SMILING with the kind of happiness that needs no words.
And that's when I think something interesting happens.
That smile becomes your BENCHMARK.
A physical little reference point for happiness.
Years later, you see another pic of the two of you and, somewhere in your head, you compare it with that smile. Were we this happy?
And then comes the slightly dangerous question…
Did the smile get bigger with all the love we gave each other? ❤️
Or… did those little fights steal a few teeth off it? 😏😂
Because marriage comes with a lot of things nobody puts in the wedding invitation:
Work. Bills. Children. Responsibilities. In-laws. Laundry. Health (medical and dental bills).
And apparently, discussions about setting the AC temperature can become surprisingly serious. 😂
Underneath all of that, the smile keeps getting bigger or smaller.
And perhaps there is another reason to think about your dental health before the wedding.
You are not just planning a wedding. You are starting a life together.
You wouldn't knowingly carry a neglected financial liability into a marriage. You'd probably discuss finances, insurance, investments — maybe even sign a prenup. 😄
So why carry a neglected dental problem?
Because dental problems rarely become cheaper by being ignored. A small problem caught early can be very different from a full-fledged dental rehabilitation later — both clinically and financially.

And orthodontics is much the same. Right diagnosis. Right time. Right intervention.
Think of it as a little bit of preventive planning — almost like paying an insurance premium before you need the insurance. You're not planning for the marriage to fail. You're planning so that avoidable problems don't become expensive ones. 😉
And hopefully, years later, when you look at that wedding photograph, the only thing you're comparing is: "Was our smile bigger then… or is it bigger now?" ❤️
That's your Benchmark Smile.
So before the wedding bells…
Align the stars. ⭐ Align the teeth. And give yourself a smile worth coming back to.
