GBT Airflow — Guided Biofilm Therapy
The modern way to clean teeth.
A Swiss, evidence-based protocol that replaces scraping with warm water, air and a fine powder. Gentler. Safer. Deeper. For every smile in your family.
Why we built our practice around it
The cheapest dental work is the work you never need.
Almost every expensive dental problem — cavities, gum disease, failed crowns, lost implants — starts the same way: a soft layer of bacteria called biofilm, left undisturbed for too long.
GBT is the protocol that takes biofilm seriously. It is the reason our patients spend less on dentistry over a lifetime — because the small visits work, and the big ones become rare.
Book a GBT visitWhy patients prefer it
Six reasons GBT has become the global standard for preventive care.
Genuinely painless
No scraping. No vibrations. Most patients describe it as a warm-water rinse.
Safe around everything
Implants, veneers, crowns, braces, aligners — GBT was designed for them.
Reaches what brushing can't
Around brackets, under bridges, between tight contacts — gentle, but thorough.
Better gum health
Disrupts the biofilm that drives gum disease, the leading cause of adult tooth loss.
Visibly brighter teeth
Tea, coffee, wine and tobacco stains lift away — without bleaching.
Fits a lunch hour
Most appointments wrap up in 45–60 minutes. Walk in, eat normally on the way out.
Inside a GBT visit
Seven gentle steps. One better clean.
- 1
Assess
A short examination of gums, teeth and any restorations or appliances.
- 2
Disclose
A safe vegetable dye highlights exactly where biofilm has accumulated — so nothing is missed and nothing is over-treated.
- 3
Motivate & coach
We show you what we found, and a 90-second home-care plan tailored to your mouth.
- 4
Airflow
Warm water, air and a fine erythritol powder gently lift biofilm and stains — even between teeth and around brackets.
- 5
Perioflow
A sub-gingival nozzle reaches gently under the gumline and around implants without metal instruments.
- 6
Ultrasonic — only if needed
Used sparingly, and only where hard tartar remains. Most of the cleaning is already done.
- 7
Check & protect
A final polish, fluoride application and a recall interval set to your individual risk.
GBT vs the cleaning you grew up with

Polishing happens through the protocol itself

Who it's for
If you have teeth, GBT is for you.
It is especially transformative for these patients — the ones older protocols tend to let down.
Braces & aligner patients
Brackets, wires and attachments create hiding places brushing can't reach. GBT keeps decay and white-spot lesions away through your whole orthodontic journey.
Implant patients
Peri-implantitis is the single biggest threat to implant longevity. GBT is the only cleaning protocol designed to maintain implants safely.
Veneers & crowns
Metal scalers can scratch ceramic and porcelain. GBT cleans around them without damaging the polish or margins.
Children & teens
Painless, friendly and quick — exactly the experience that builds lifelong habits.
Sensitive teeth
If past cleanings have hurt, this is the one to try. Most patients can't believe it's over when we're done.
Pregnancy & medical conditions
Gentle, drug-free, evidence-based. Trusted for patients where gum health matters most.
Our promise
Come for one GBT visit. You will not want to go back to the old way.
Most patients tell us the same thing on the way out — they had no idea cleaning could feel like this. That's the visit we want to give your whole family, twice a year, for the rest of your life.
Common questions
What patients ask before booking.
- How is GBT different from a regular cleaning?
- Regular cleaning relies mostly on a metal scaler scraped against the tooth. GBT starts with a disclosing solution to show exactly where biofilm is, then uses warm water, air and a fine powder to lift it away — gently, thoroughly, and without the scratching.
- Will it hurt?
- No. GBT is the most comfortable cleaning protocol in dentistry today. Patients with sensitive teeth — who normally dread their cleaning — consistently say this one didn't hurt at all.
- How often should I have it done?
- Every 6 months for most adults; every 3–4 months for patients with implants, braces, aligners or active gum disease. Your recall is set to your individual risk, not a one-size-fits-all rule.
- Is it safe around implants, veneers and braces?
- Yes — GBT was specifically developed for this. It is the protocol endorsed by the European Federation of Periodontology for implant maintenance.
- Will my teeth look whiter?
- Most patients see a visible brightening in a single session as surface stains from tea, coffee, wine and tobacco lift away. It is not bleaching — it is your own natural shade, uncovered.
- What does it cost?
- We share clear, written pricing at your assessment. GBT is priced as a premium preventive visit because it replaces multiple older steps with one better protocol.
